Are Scion Good Cars?
Toyota created the Scion line in 2003. It was based around a common theme: "scion", which is short for "offspring," is the name of the brand. The name is a reference to the youth, and their attraction to things that are obnoxious or funky.
Scion's original models were a boxy xB SUV, and a curvier tC Coupe. In the first three years, they sold more than 400 000 units and shook the Toyota market. The line was popular for a while, but as time went by it lost its appeal. Toyota finally stopped making the models.

Scions aren't the flashiest cars in the world, but they offer plenty of features for their modest price tags. The iA is a good example. It has been available since 2016 and offers more features and luxury than other cars of similar price.
If you're looking for a small car that can get you where you need to go while offering reasonable gas mileage, then the iA is a great choice. The 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine delivers 106 horsepower and torque of 103 pound feet. Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or optional automatic.
The EPA fuel efficiency rating for the Xterra is 37 mpg, which is a high number in this class. It also has decent road manners and handles well.
What's more, the iA is a very safe car. Seat belt pretensioners are designed to help reduce injuries and serious accidents. Interior is spacious with comfortable seats.
But the iA isn't as spirited or fast as some other compact sedans, and its performance is hampered by a lack of powertrain refinement. The engine has a spongy feel when it comes to acceleration, and can be frustrating at highway speeds.
Scion has created a premium interior that is on par with the best luxury cars. The interior is made of materials that are similar to the ones found in luxury vehicles. And the infotainment dial interface makes it easy to operate.
