2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer Review

reviews for products

Chevy's 2021 trailblazer is the latest in a long line of small crossovers and SUVs which bridges the gap between compact and subcompact models. It joins competitors like the Kia Selto, Honda HR-V, Jeep Renegade, Mazda CX-3 and Toyota CH-R in this growing category of small SUVs and mini crossovers.

The new Trailblazer does an excellent job blending style with safety and technology, all in a package which is clearly Chevy. The Trailblazer is a mini SUV that's suited to both young adults and empty nesters, but also can be used by the whole family.

It's a small and light car, but it has decent performance, thanks in part to its turbocharged three-cylinder engine. In addition to the engine, the Trailblazer offers a choice of front- or all-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The base L trim level and the LS are available. The L comes at a starting price of $19,000 with a turbocharged, 1.2-liter 137-horsepower motor. It is equipped with a continuously variably automatic transmission.

You can upgrade to the LS for a 1.3 liter turbocharged engine that produces 177 hp. Although the 1.3 turbocharged engine is not as powerful as the more powerful 1.6-liter, it offers much better acceleration.

Base LS models are equipped with remote keyless entry and Bluetooth. They also have cruise control, tinted glass, an infotainment unit, and Bluetooth. You can add additional features, such as lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, for extra money.

You can also opt for a high-definition rearview camera and adaptive cruise control. You can also upgrade to the Technology package, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, along with satellite radio.

The Trailblazer ACTIV interior is quite well designed. The interior is well laid out, with comfortable cloth seats. The instrument panel has an easy-to-read display and a driver information center that can be customized. There is plenty of room in the console, and it has many storage compartments. Fold the rear seat down to increase cargo space.

The Trailblazer offers a comfortable driving experience, but suffers from a rough ride over potholes. That's a problem that doesn't exist in some of its more expensive rivals, but one that might be a deal-breaker for many buyers looking for a new small SUV.

The Trailblazer does a great job of connecting to the world around you, with an impressive Chevrolet Infotainment 3 touchscreen and an available 6-speaker audio system that lets you listen to your favorite tunes or stream podcasts through your smartphone. Color options and interior designs are available in a wide range to ensure you get the perfect fit. Our dealership near Blue Island has great prices on the new Trailblazer.
